Screen Shot 2017-01-20 at 11.44.16Biologist (2011) and Master in Ecology (2014) from the University of Brasília (UnB). My dissertation dealt with the relationships between physical environmental factors and the architecture, functioning and distribution of arboreal individuals in a savanna ecosystem in the Federal District, Brazil. I currently contribute to research on dynamics of land use, deforestation and greenhouse gas emissions in Brazil, with focus on the Cerrado domain. I recently studied the costs of ecological restoration on a national scale, considering several techniques in all Brazilian biomes. My previous experiences are working with methodologies to estimate avoided greenhouse gases emissions and carbon dioxide removals associated with community based projects, also collecting, systematizing, analyzing and interpreting ecological data – both biotic (flora) and abiotic (soil, water and topography) –, and communicating scientific knowledge. My current interests are: landscape ecology, ecosystem ecology, applied ecology, climate change and ecological restoration.
